Spiritual Formation Ministries

Eastern Great Lakes Mission Center has the privilege of being a central location for Community of Christ Spiritual Formation Ministries!

The Spiritual Formation Center is a ministry of Community of Christ that provides opportunities for personal and communal spiritual growth. In the pattern of Christ, we dwell in God’s spirit as the source of our vision, calling, and mission. Through group and personal spiritual retreat, as well as small group gatherings, the Spiritual Formation Center serves as a resource for formation and renewal.

Located in a scenic and historic area, the Spiritual Formation Center provides meaningful space to intentionally seek deeper communion with God and one another.

Ministries of the Spiritual Formation Center: 

• Individual and Group Spiritual Retreats
• Individual and Group Historic Pilgrimage Retreats
• Classroom Space
• Classes on Spiritual Formation, Spiritual Practices, Spiritual Diversity (Types) Spirit and Mission, etc.
• Chapel for worship, personal prayer, reflection etc.
• Meditation Gardens and outdoor space for reflection and prayer
• Mobile Labyrinth
• Access to Kirtland Temple for prayer or worship during planned retreat times
• Access to nearby wilderness spaces such as Holden Arboretum , Lake Erie, Chapin Forest and the Lake County Metroparks
